IGET One 12000 Review: Is It Worth the Price Aus
The IGET One is the longest running device we stock and the most expensive single unit. Whether that price is justified depends on how much you vape, so here is the practical assessment.
What you get
Twelve thousand rated puffs, USB-C charging and a battery level display on the body. That display is the feature people underrate. On every other model you are guessing how much charge is left, and the guess is usually wrong until the device starts weakening.
The build is heavier than the Bar Pro and noticeably heavier than a Bar. It is a device you notice in a shirt pocket, which is worth knowing before you buy.
How long it actually lasts
At 400 puffs a day the rating suggests a month. In practice most people land between three and four weeks, because real draws run longer than the two second test draw. At 700 puffs a day you are looking at around two and a half weeks.
Either way it is the fewest reorders of anything in the range, which for a lot of buyers is the entire point.
Where it beats the Bar Pro
Runtime and the battery display. Twenty percent more rated puffs and the ability to see what is left rather than being surprised. If you are the sort of person who has been caught out by a flat device at the wrong moment, that display is worth the difference on its own.
Where the Bar Pro is the better buy
Size, price and airflow. The Bar Pro is smaller, cheaper and has an adjustable airflow ring the One does not. If you like tuning the draw between tight and loose, the Pro gives you that and the One does not.
On cost per puff the two are close enough that it is not the deciding factor. Choose on size, on the airflow ring, and on whether you want the battery display.
The honest downside
It is a large sealed device. When the liquid runs out, a perfectly good battery goes in the bin with it. If that bothers you, the Bar Plus S3 pod system is the better answer and cheaper to run besides, at the cost of having to buy pods.
The other consideration is flavour commitment. Three to four weeks is a long time on one flavour. If you get bored easily, two smaller devices in different flavours may suit you better than one large one.
Verdict
Worth it if you vape heavily, value the fewest possible reorders, and want to know your battery level. Not worth it if you vape occasionally, want something pocketable, or prefer to change flavours often.
